2008/02/01 lucky coincidence

due to stormy weather our connecting flight from chicago to new orleans was cancelled, which turned out perfectly fine as we got the chance to visit the 'windy city' as well.

after a zillion hours of wait at the airport..

..we finally made it to our - fancy schmanzy - hotel room

from where we started our tour through the city. at first we visited the famous sears tower, from which we had a perfect view over snowy chicago.

afterwards we mainly went along 'michigan street'..

..to experience that chicago has both style and culture.

we loved the kitschy atmosphere!!
