2009/07/10-14 the real deal

thanks to matt's friend federico and his lovely family we were able to not only see the roman classics, but also some spots that only locals would know. the centores have been the most wonderful hosts, and i am looking forward to seeing them again soon [maybe in austria?!].

also, the food was incredibly delicious. we managed it to find the most fantastic spots with incredible italian food.. you know, the real deal. and federico even made tiramisu.. in twenty minutes!

the rome trip was not only special, as wonderful federico and his family showed us the best time, but also because it was matt's and my first real holiday together. let's think of it as a great start into more wonderful things!

2009/07/12 chillin' by the mediterranean sea

the day started smooth by going to the beach in gaeta..

jill & me were baking in the sun while the guys [all manly] climbed the rocks and collected all different kinds of seafood.. uuhm.. animals.

green-hearted me told them certainly, to put them back to their natural environment.

time passed by quickly, and before going home we went to sperlonga, where they have the best ice-cream in the world. the trip was somewhat tiring..

..but totally worth it. check it out!
