2008/10/30 happy living small

my dear friend michi and her business partner christiane opened a shop for austrian design in linz: 'living small - schoene dinge fuer ein unaufgeregtes leben' [beautiful things for a chilling life].

the name derives from the song 'living small' by the american singer/songwriter jonah matranga, who not only decided to rename his whole tour through europe as 'living small tour', but also stopped by and perform some of his songs.

as i am going to work at the shop saturdaily, i was also invited to the opening party, where we met the designers and the press.

everyone else who had helped in advance was there and so my friends and me had great fun at this wonderful party.

the shop itself offers a great variety of clothes for ladies, gents and kids from exclusively austrian designers, who only produce in the country. a vast majority of the pieces are single pieces and made by hand.. gorgeous, i tell ya!


the chicks had had some tough months with all the preparation and everything, but although they are somewhat exhausted..


..they are now happy living small!
